Gary Nickerson has traveled extensively since childhood. By the age of 17, he had visited 36 states and Canada. At ages 9 to 11, he traveled cross-country from the Midwest to Seattle twice — first on a Northwest Orient DC3 aircraft, and later on the Great Northern Railway’s famous Empire Builder train. In the Navy, he traveled throughout Asia and the South Pacific including Guam, Saipan and Palau – often chosen by the ship’s Captain to serve as helmsman when entering and leaving ports. More recently, he has traveled throughout the Caribbean, Ireland and the United States for pleasure and business. Gary is leader of Site Selection magazine’s Digital Technology Team.
