This issue of the SiteNet Dispatch heralds the holiday season with a special edition of Blockbuster Deal of the Week.
Keeping the Home Fires Burning: Arctic Circle-based multinational S.C. Ltd. (SCL) has ended its site search by deciding to keep its world headquarters parked at the North Pole, owing in part to logistics concerns. The decision quells a rumored strike among SCL's delivery workers.

This week's Dispatch brings readers new and exclusive stories from the November 2008 edition of Site Selection:

Adding Some Middle-Eastern Flavor: First announced in 2006, AMD's planned 300-mm. semiconductor plant in upstate New York's Saratoga County (pictured above in a rendering) has taken a new turn. The American company has now struck a deal with Advanced Technology Investment Company of Abu Dhabi, with the Middle Eastern entity helping bankroll AMD investments that will include the California-based firm's 1,400-employee fab in the Empire State.

Where in the World? Hungry enough, you say, to wolf down a fresh-out-of-the-oven leg o' pterodactyl? Be careful what you wish for. Pictured here is "the world's biggest hamburger," weighing in at an absolutely ridiculous 164.5 pounds (74 kilograms). See if you can name the city in which this humongous hamburger is made — and find out why in the world they create that outsize entrée. As Dispatch readers' responses have demonstrated thus far, it's not necessarily made where you might at first imagine.
