This week's SiteNet Dispatch brings readers new and exclusive stories from the September 2008 Site Selection:

FedEx
Already Delivering: Ten years in the making, the 170-acre (69-hectare) Mid-Atlantic hub that FedEx will open in 2009 at Piedmont Triad International is already registering a major impact. The massive North Carolina operation is a magnet for the manufacturing and distribution operations that are now flocking into the surrounding region, which includes Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem.

There's more expansion news online in global project coverage from London-based partner Oxford Intelligence. This week's installment includes:
  • "Airbus Opens New Plant in China"
  • "NIOC Launches Office in Beijing"
  • "Toyota Boshoku and Aisin to Open Polish Plant"
  • "Renault Trucks to Open Bulgarian Office"
15 Days
Blinding Speed: The "15 Days" crew doing their high-speed work inside the office space in Boston's Financial District.

Postscript: Finally, here's a brief update on last week's story on the über-speed fit-out of 10,000 sq. ft. (900 sq. m.) of LEED-quality space in Boston. At 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26th, the construction crew on that ambitious project knocked off for the week - and for the entire job. They'd hit their fast-track target, completing the work in 15 days - a quarter of the conventional time frame - with a city-issued Certificate of Use and Occupancy hanging on the front door.
