Central Germany: Growing Solar Valley
Another large investment project in the solar sector in Saxony-Anhalt has been announced! Vienna-based Intico Solar AG will produce thin-film modules in Halle. Total investment will be €585 million Euro. The facility will be located in an industrial area near the motorway A14. The company's main goals include broadening its worldwide presence and increasing global production capacities for the solar industry. Intico Solar AG board members Dr. Lutz Mittelstädt, Tina Scherf and Karsten Weltzien were impressed by the quality, promptness and efficiency with which all involved institutions have worked.
Commented Dr. Reiner Haseloff, Minister for Saxony-Anhalt Economic and Labour Affairs: "The solar sector in Saxony-Anhalt is taking a leading position nationwide and across Europe. International companies like the Intico Solar AG appreciate Saxony-Anhalt's location advantages, but in particular, the special incentives the state offers for settlements of solar companies."
