An early riser on his trip to Saxony-Anhalt

Prof. Dr. Jesco Freiherr von Puttkamer, renowned NASA manager, visited Saxony-Anhalt last week. He took up an invitation by Minister of Economics Dr. Reiner Haseloff. The two gentlemen met last year during celebrations of the Day of Germany Unity in Washington. "I heard enough charming things about this region to lure me here. Most of all, I like the people. I really have the impression of their being swifter and brighter than elsewhere in Germany. And, they have accomplished much in recent years to be rightly proud of. Focuses of research and development have been re-established and are presentable on a global scale," said von Puttkammer after his visit. Von Puttkammer is a professed early riser, which is also why he became aware of the marketing campaign of the state of Saxony-Anhalt in the U.S. "I heard about the campaign and was impressed," he said.
