Chrysler has certainly taken its lumps lately. Now, though, the "pre-owned" automaker is in uber-expansion mode, announcing in only two months five North American expansions involving at least US$2.45 billion in investment and almost 1,800 new jobs.

Saltillo, Mexico
Driving South: One of Chrysler's new engine plants, a $570-million, 485-employee operation, is headed to Saltillo, Mexico, adjacent to this 2,150-employee, 212,850-sq.-ft. (191,565-sq.-m.) Dodge Ram assembly plant.
